FEHD Signs Student Exchange Agreement with University of Warmia and Mazury in Poland
The Faculty of Education and Human Development (FEHD) has signed a Student Exchange Agreement (SEA) with the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn (UWM), Poland, expanding student mobility opportunities and enriching international learning experiences in Europe. The agreement was initiated and supported by the Department of Education Policy and Leadership (EPL).
Under the agreement, the two faculties will organise undergraduate student exchanges for semester-long and year-long periods, as well as exchanges under Erasmus+, the European Union’s programme for education, training, youth and sport. The new partnership will create valuable opportunities for students to broaden their global perspectives, experience different academic environments and develop intercultural understanding.
The agreement also builds on a strong foundation of academic collaboration. Earlier this year, scholars from EPL, including Dr Bhowmik Miron, Dr Leung Wing Tat, Dr Ying Ji and Dr Wong Koon Lin, together with Professor Chiu Ming Ming from the Department of Special Education and Counselling, collaborated with UWM’s Faculty of Social Sciences on joint research projects and co-authored publications.
“We are delighted to collaborate with the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn,” said Professor Chan Ka Shing Kevin, Acting Dean of FEHD. “This agreement enables FEHD to expand its network in Poland and across Europe. Our collaboration brings together our respective strengths to provide enriching intercultural experiences for students from both faculties.”
The SEA was signed in September 2026 by Professor Chan and Dr hab. Joanna Ostrouch-Kamińska, Professor at UWM and Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences. The agreement will remain in effect for three years.
